China Tariff Reduction List to Be Released Around Sep 24, Covering USD 30 Billion Chinese Goods

On September 9 (US Eastern Time), USTR Greer stated that under the framework of the China-US "Trade Committee", both sides have screened a batch of non-sensitive goods suitable for bilateral trade. The tariff reduction result covering about 30 billion US dollars worth of Chinese commodities will be released around September 24. It mainly targets the extra 301 tariffs imposed in 2018. Tariffs on apparel, footwear, furniture, toys, luggage, partial textiles, non-critical industrial spare parts, non-sensitive medical supplies and energy products are expected to be lowered. The public comment period has ended, and the list is being verified with China.
